X now lets users see which posts were shadowbanned

X has introduced a new update that allows users to identify specific posts that have received visibility-limiting labels, offering greater transparency into how the platform restricts content.

The feature is part of X’s Under the Hood tool, which provides users with information about labels applied to their posts and accounts that may affect their reach on the platform. You can find the dashboard here.

Previously, users could see how many of their posts had received certain labels during a reporting period, but couldn’t identify exactly which posts were affected.

With the latest update, X now displays the individual posts that received a visibility-limiting label, allowing users to better understand which content may have been restricted or excluded from recommendations.

However, there is a limitation: individual posts will only be listed when fewer than 5% of the account’s posts during the reporting period received that particular label.

The feature is available to both free and paid X users, provided their accounts are at least one year old and have published at least 10 posts in the previous month.

Users can access the feature through X’s Under the Hood dashboard, where eligible accounts can review reports detailing labels and potential restrictions affecting their content.

The update is among several new features X has introduced over the past year. The platform rolled out its ‘About This Account’ feature, which allows users to see which country an account is based in, when it was created, and how many times its username has changed. X has also introduced automatic post translations powered by Grok, AI-powered photo editing tools, and expanded reply controls that allow Premium subscribers to limit responses to people within their extended network.
