First reported details for Euphoria S3 were revealed at a recent HBO press event. Brazilian outlet Omelete attended the exclusive event and leaked what was shown in the trailer. They’ve since deleted the article with no reason given, but their tweet mentioning the details are still up. It’s likely they weren’t supposed to reveal this information yet. We managed to transcribe their trailer summary before it was removed:
In the trailer, we see Rue (Zendaya) as an adult, still using drugs, and being kidnapped by drug dealers to whom she owes money. Two different groups are after her — one led by a woman and another by a man. We also see that Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged. Sydney Sweeney’s character will have an OnlyFans account where she creates adult content, and Nate is shocked when he finds her in bed, dressed as a Playboy Bunny taking photos.
S3 is confirmed to consist of eight episodes, targeting a release in spring 2026. It will likely be the final season, according to HBO.
Production began in early 2025 (with a January start originally announced) and wrapped later in the year. Zendaya confirmed the season will include a time jump, taking the characters out of high school and exploring their lives in young adulthood. Previous reports suggest it could be around five years.
Sam Levinson is returning as the showrunner, but the bright spot? Cinematographer Marcell Rév is back — so expect gorgeous visuals masking the same messy writing.
Returning cast members confirmed include Zendaya (Rue), Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer and Eric Dane, Colman Domingo among others. New additions to the ensemble include pop star RosalÃa, former NFL star Marshawn Lynch and actress Sharon Stone.
