RJ Mitte, best known for playing Walter White Jr. on AMC’s acclaimed series Breaking Bad, has died at the age of 34.

According to TMZ, a county official confirmed that the actor died Monday, October 12, in Texas. TMZ reports that his death was a suicide, although law enforcement says the investigation remains ongoing.
Mitte’s death comes almost exactly one year after he got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Kennedy Suarez, in October 2025. The couple had been together for five years.
Mitte rose to fame portraying the son of Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, throughout the show’s five-season run from 2008 to 2013. He later appeared in projects including The Oak Room, Triumph, and The Guardians of Justice.
Born with cerebral palsy, Mitte was a passionate advocate for people with disabilities, frequently speaking out about the importance of representation and equal opportunities in Hollywood. He used his platform to challenge stereotypes and push for greater inclusion of actors with disabilities in film and television.
