Details about the upcoming Spider-Verse film.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will conclude Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Verse trilogy, with Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson directing and Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham writing the screenplay. The film is currently set to hit theaters on June 18, 2027.

Producer Chris Miller confirmed there was leaked footage, likely from the new trailer.

The story picks up after the cliffhanger ending of Across the Spider-Verse. Miles Morales is stranded on Earth-42, where his father is dead and that universe’s Miles has become the Prowler. Meanwhile, Gwen Stacy has assembled her own team of Spider-People to find Miles, while Miguel O’Hara and the Spider Society remain in pursuit of him. Miles will ultimately have to find his way home and attempt to prevent The Spot’s seemingly destined attack on his family. Sony describes the film as a race across “the wildest reaches of time and space” as Miles fights to reunite everything he cares about.

While Beyond the Spider-Verse will conclude Miles Morales’ animated trilogy, Sony is also developing a female-led Spider-Verse spinoff centered on Spider-Woman characters. More to come on that soon.
