Donald Trump

Donald Trump gets trolled in new episode of BAKI-DOU: The Invincible Samurai

Donald Trump… or Tranp… has made his way into Netflix’s Baki anime franchise.

In the Baki universe, creator Keisuke Itagaki has a long history of parodying real-world political figures by slightly altering their names. Trump appears as ‘Trunp,’ while former U.S. President Barack Obama is portrayed as ‘Barack Ozma.’ The naming convention is a recurring gag throughout the franchise and is generally viewed as a way to reference real public figures while avoiding potential legal complications.

Clips of Donald Trump pissing himself in the show have already made their way online:

The series has never shied away from using real-world politicians and celebrities as inspiration. Across the manga’s decades-long run, Itagaki has featured fictionalized versions of multiple world leaders, often placing them in absurd situations alongside the franchise’s superhuman fighters. In some of the manga’s more controversial storylines, both the Trump parody and a parody of Elon Musk (named Elos) are sexually assaulted by the main character.

For those unfamiliar with the franchise, Baki Hanma is the son of Yujiro Hanma, widely regarded as the strongest creature on Earth. Determined to surpass his father, Baki subjects himself to extreme training from a young age, eventually becoming one of the world’s most powerful fighters.

Over the course of the series, Baki develops a unique fighting style that blends multiple martial arts disciplines. His abilities reach almost superhuman levels, with the fighter capable of dodging bullets, shattering concrete and battling opponents whose strength borders on the impossible.

By the time BAKI-DOU begins, however, Baki’s greatest problem is boredom. Having already defeated many of the world’s strongest warriors, he struggles to find an opponent capable of exciting him. The resurrection of Musashi Miyamoto finally presents a challenge worthy of his attention.
