Marvel is bringing back its parody series after 30 years, and skins are coming to Marvel Rivals
The infamous parody of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit editions is returning for a one-off comic on July 9, and it will have skins for Marvel Rivals to go with it. Fans and gooners will go crazy for this return.
The series originally ran from 1991- 1995. The comic will feature contributions from artists such as Nick Bradshaw, Nic Klein, Marguerite Sauvage, Luciano Vecchio, and more, with an overarching story written by Tom Seeley and Tony Fleecs.

It’s unclear when the skins will be coming to Marvel Rivals.
A rep at NetEase has informed us that this is not official yet on their end, but the reveal was included in Marvel’s official press release on their site about the Marvel Swimsuit Special, and exec producer Danny Koo also teased skins tied to the upcoming comic.
I’d expect it sometime around Season 3 in July, which could be July 11, based on the timeline with Season 2.5 releasing on May 30. This would also line up with when the Marvel Swimsuit Special is supposed to release.
It’s also confirmed for the 2.5 mid-season update that Ultron will be released as a hero, and a new map is rumored to drop.
Marvel Rivals lately has been both praised and criticized for their content, with many on both sides pointing out how the skins and designs seem to sexualize the characters. This is not limited to the female characters, as It was noted that in a recent patch update, the butts of Moon Knight and other characters were enhanced.
